Stonehenge Block Party Frequently Asked Questions
Where should I submit my finished Block Party quilt?
Upload photos of your quilt to our online submissions page: https://woobox.com/ga93hz
Is there a maximum size the quilt should be?
Unlike the Panel Quilt challenge, the Block Party quilts have no size restriction. However, please bear in mind that you will have to ship the quilt to us if you are chosen as a finalist.
Can I change the color or size of the blocks?
All blocks must be made to the size and color specifications provided by participating shops – some shops have created multiple color and size options.
Do I have to physically visit shops to obtain my blocks?
Although we hope to promote local brick and mortal quilt shops, there is no obligation to physically visit every shop – stores are welcome to sell kits and blocks online or through the mail. Please be aware that not all shops sell online. To avoid disappointment, please check with the shop first.
You can find the contact information of the shops on the Shop Listing or Interactive Map.
How much do the kits/blocks cost?
The price of each kit or block is set by the participating store, and so the prices may vary from place to place.
Can I embellish my finished quilt with embroidery, ribbons, etc.?
As long as the quilt is made with only Stonehenge Solstice fabrics (and permitted coordinates), you are welcome to add whatever creative flourishes you like.
Can I use the Solstice panel in the quilt?
Absolutely! We encourage you to get creative with the Solstice collection; use a full panel, chop it up, re-arrange it or however you want to make your quilt pop – this also applies to the Solstice Panel Quilt Challenge.
Can I use multiples of the same blocks?
Of course! As long as you have the minimum 12 seperate shop blocks, you can use them as many times as you like in your design.
Can I add my own blocks?
As long as your quilt meets the 12 shop block minimum (to their specifications), you are welcome to create your own blocks, or even adapt other blocks.
