DEBORAH G. STANLEY is an independent designer, whose work has been published in many magazines, including QUILT magazine, LOVE OF QUILTING, MODERN PATCHWORK, AMERI-CAN QUILTER, and QUILTER’S WORLD. She has designed consumer projects for several fabric companies, including Northcott, RJR, and Elizabeth’s Studio. Her specialty is simple, easy to complete sewing and quilting projects, especially lap quilts and handbags. Using embellishments to “kick up”quilts is her favorite way to add personality. Her work has appeared in several of Linda Hahn’s books, and her quilt “Five O’Clock Somewhere” was the cover quilt for Linda’s book, Rock That Quilt Block: Hourglass (AQS 2016).
Deb lives in New Jersey with her husband, Steve, and Frodo, a very spoiled cat. When not quilting, she enjoys reading and crafts of all kinds, as well as practicing her newly acquired longarm skills.
