Designer Profile

Susan Wheeler

Susan grew up in South Manchester, England and developed her enthusiasm for working with colors and patterns from an early age. This led her to study Surface Pattern Design at Stockport College. From there she went on to have eight very successful years of designing casual tableware at Wedgwood in Stoke on Trent.

To fulfil her creative aspirations, Susan decided to set up her own design studio ‘Susan Wheeler Design’ in the UK. This enabled her to design for other products including textiles, stationery, kitchen textiles, melamine, cross stitch and the craft market rather than just ceramic products.

Susan uses her many years of knowledge and experience gained in the homeware market to produce her eye catching designs, with her styles ranging from realistic florals to fun and quirky characters which you will find in her children's ranges. She loves creating new designs and hopes they bring a smile to people's faces!

When not busy in her studio, Susan enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, walking in the beautiful Peak District and trying to persevere with learning to cross stitch.
